Robin Chandler, of the Department of African-American Studies at Northeastern University and former chair of Women’s Studies, is an artist-sociologist whose special interests include popular culture, micro-enterprise development and the arts, the role of technology and the arts, and global citizenship.  As a scholar, Chandler lectures, teaches, and publishes on applied interdisciplinary research, the arts, multimedia and IT applications, and Hip Hop.  Since 1993, she has promoted The Peace Doors Project as director, hoping to install a peace monument in nine countries, establish a peace trust bursary, and develop a peace education curriculum globally. She is the author of Amazing Grace: An African American Sojourn in South Africa, chronicling her work, travel, and research there.

Lihua Wang is Coordinator of the Women’s Studies Program at Northeastern University in Boston and an associate in research at the Fairbank Center for East Asian Studies at Harvard University. Her research has focused on official economic policy and the global impact on women’s lives in China. As a recipient of a Ford Foundation grant, she conducted three years of fieldwork regarding economic development and micro-credits for rural women in China. Her articles about her research have been published in both English and Chinese. She edited Globalization and its Chinese Discontents: Feminist Critiques (Peking University Press, 2008), attempting to capture critical debates on globalization.

Linda K. Fuller, a Professor of Communications at Worcester (MA) State College, has been a Senior Fellow at Northeastern University since 2003. The author/ (co)editor of more than 20 books and 250+ professional publications and conference reports, most recently with Palgrave Macmillan Sport, Rhetoric, and Gender (2005), Community Media: International Perspectives (2007), and African Women’s Unique Vulnerabilities to HIV/AIDS (2008). She has had Fulbrights to Singapore (1996) and Senegal (2002), and recently presented a paper on child soldiers at a conference on Media, War, and Conflict at Bowling Green State University.
